Title: Hawaii Coast
Artist's Statement: These waves are so powerful, that if one lingers on shore, in half a foot of the tranquil foam, the tow of the approaching or receeding wave is enough to knock you down. Not only was I knocked down, but it also snatched away my bikini top. I did retrieve it, but placing it back on during the tumbling agitation, while fighting the crushing out-to-sea undertow, consumed me with panic: “To hell with the top! Save your life!”
