Title: Liberated?
Artist's Statement: The light of liberation has illuminated only enough to
show that the woman's hands are full. She shields herself from a drizzle,
carrying home bread (the necessities of life), diapers (the responsibility
to
care for the next generation), and an executive's briefcase (the challenge of
creating a place for herself in the corporate world). Her footing
is precarious on the slushy pavement, while attempting to cross against oncoming
traffic. We are not there yet! The bottom line is, females are a long way
from being represented as 50% of the decision-makers in government,
business, or in the world arena.

Medium: Acrylic on canvas.
Dimensions: 20" x 24" (50 cm X 60 cm)
